Dear Trapper,

Alert: House Bill 1514 will be heard January 20th 2010 at 10:00am @ Legislative Office Building 305-307.
This bill is to prohibit the sale, possession and transportation of raw skins or unskinned carcasses of furbearers.                                                                                   

This bill is sponsored by Steve Vaillancourt and cosponsored by Peter Leishman and Peter Schmidt. This bill will make it so we have throw away our furs which is a waste of a natural resource. A  natural resource that trappers manage for N.H. Landowners by trapping. This bill will end trapping as we know it.
What can the trapper do?
1. Call all Fish and Game committee members on the enclosed list. Ask each member to kill HB1514.Keep it short and to the point. Answer any questions politely and honestly
2.Call your local Represenatives,
3.Calling your favors i.e. Road agents, landowners etc .ask them to call the same list.
4.Show up for the hearing, we want to fill the hall. Please don’t ask yourself “what if” It will make a difference. At the hearing you will be able to fill out a card or sheet stating if you are for or against the bill. If you plan to testify please call Larry Torr or Fred Shepard and let us know subject you will be talking on.
Dress Code: please dress neat and clean- no coon skin hats etc. Don’t project the stereotype.
