The Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program has been crowning winning contestants since 1947. The Miss NH Program is an official state chapter of the Miss America Organization. The Miss Teen New Hampshire program for girls aged 13 to17 is a program sponsored by the Miss NH Program. All of these programs are built around the platform concept, which requires each contestant to choose an issue about which she cares deeply and that is of relevance to our country. Contestants who win the competition will devote a year as a spokesperson for the program and an advocate of the platform she has espoused. There is considerable scholarship funding for advanced education and an opportunity for resume building in whatever field will be pursued.
The New Hampshire Trappers Association has been a contributor to this worthy program since 1993, and has provided fur coats for each wining Miss New Hampshire since that time.
